Student Training
We take pride in fostering the academic growth and curiosity of students through our specialized training sessions. Our tailored programs provide students with hands-on learning experiences in the fundamentals of GIS and equips them with the necessary skills to get the most out of geography and related subjects.
Fieldwork
We offer dedicated support to schools before, during and after fieldwork, so your experiences are the most impactful for your students. We support clients with the preparation and formation of fieldwork ideas, the collection of data in the field (including the best use of technology), and analysis of the collected data. Whether the fieldwork is a few hours, a full day or across multiple days, we can help you make sure that the students are getting the most out their fieldwork and are best prepared to analyse and present their final outcomes.
Coursework Support
Including high-quality maps and deeper geospatial analysis is now a requirement in many courses and a key factor in making sure your final product stand out. To support you in this, we offer individual or small group workshops for students who are completing relevant coursework and are keen to implement the use of GIS to elevate the standard of their Geographical Investigation, Internal Assessment, Extended Essay, (i)GCSE Geography Coursework or other project. This type of workshops also applies to educators who wish to further their understanding of GIS and the geospatial skills involved in coursework so they can better support their students.
Follow up Support
We go beyond just the training sessions by including follow-up support sessions, where we are available to answer questions, provide additional clarification, and address any challenges that may arise during your geospatial journey. This ongoing support ensures that our clients not only gain valuable knowledge during the training but also receive ongoing assistance as they apply their skills in real-world scenarios.

Whether you're a beginner looking to grasp the fundamentals, an intermediate user seeking to refresh specific skills or an advanced user looking to add tools to your repertoire, our personalized approach allows for a focused and bespoke learning experience.
If you are unsure where to start, then we do offer some standard sessions which can be used as a basis for further customized:
-Beginner
Ideal for those with little to no experience in GIS applications. This program will introduce standard GIS fundamentals and use pre-packaged data to help build confidence in creating effective maps and performing geo-spatial analysis.
-Intermediate
Ideal for those who have prior experience with GIS but need a refresh. This program will recap fundamentals of GIS using pre-packaged data and then get the client(s) involved in the collection of primary data to mirror fieldwork, and then follow it up with the creation of maps and analysis of the collected data.
-Advanced
For those who are already comfortable with GIS but are looking to expand their toolset. This program will involve collecting primary data to mirror fieldwork, then using this to create powerful maps and perform advanced geo-spatial analysis in conjunction with secondary data.
Time frames
All sessions above can be customized for time in collaboration with our clients. While full day sessions are generally more ideal for intermediate and advanced users, these, along with beginner sessions can also be tailored to 2-3 hours or half day sessions to best suit the needs and constraints of the client.
